Romo

What is it with this guy?  How can he be so brilliant at times and then pull a Jekyll and Hyde and throw the game away, literally? I know it’s not only his fault and some of the blame has to rest with the play calling? 

Watching this Cowboys team is excruciating painful for a die-hard fan like myself.  I can’t believe I almost thought about switching channels to another game a half time, convinced this one was in the bag.  But something deep inside of me knew better than to have faith in Romo and company.  

Why continue to pass 60-70% of the time when you’re up by 24 point in the second half?  Is the running game that horrific that we can’t trust the trio of backs?

I want to belive Romo is the right QB to lead the team back to the Super Bowl, but the more I watch him, I’m less confident he’s the guy.  Romo has talent and can make some amazing throws and avoid the pass rush better than many QBs in the NFL.  But he’s careless, especially late in games.  He’s not a closer.

I’m not giving up on him just yet, but this loss hurts.  The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time.  We need some guys to get healthy and we need Romo (and Garrett) to really think about the type of leaders they want to be.  They have to shake the monkey off their backs and be known as a team that finishes strong.

Time to reimagine this site

Well… I’ve let this site languish long enough.  One of the items on my to do list while on parental leave from Microsoft (which I’m in the middle of now) was to figure out what to do with rhoge.com.  

I’ve setup a new site to post all the baby pictures and stories to share with family and friends.  Since what the baby does is what I do, there really isn’t a need to use this site to post travel photos or updates on our adventures.  

I debated writing exclusively about work topics, namely the latest happenings with tech world.  The problem with that approach, is there are other topics that I’m interested in writing about.

So my posts will be combination of my perspectives on tech, sports, tips and recommendations as a new parent, and the occasional food post (restaurant or cooking at home).

I want this site to be a place where I can capture and share interesting things and thoughts.
